About Us

The Trailblazers were formed in 1994 by a group of people who were Western Enthusiasts, many of whom had been involved in other period re-enactment groups. Our members have a verity of specialist interests in different aspects of 19th Century American History and our activities allow us to express these individually or as a group.

Our regular Living History venue is at Murton Yorkshire Museum of Farming near York see our link page. We are there every Bank Holiday and selected weekends to transform the Roman Fort and surrounding fields back to the era of the Wild West.

We take Living History seriously, both for our own satisfaction in researching and experiencing the life and times of our chosen characters and in presenting accurate, informative and yes entertaining experience's for the visitors who come to see us at Murton or on the road. The Camps and the buildings within the fort are set out with the sort of things you would have seen from the period. Our members take great care in getting there dress, weaponry and equipment as accurate as possible.

We do from time to time attend other either multi-period or private booking events.. Here we do displays of roping, branding, weapons and clothing and sometimes we do sketches from famous events from the Western History.

If you are interested in the Trailblazers please visit our Contact's page for more information......

                                                                                                                    Thank You
